You get the number before you get an engagement letter.
A referring attorney has to give their client a budget before they can retain anyone. So the quote comes first, in writing, itemized against what the court charges — and it does not move unless the scope does.
Three shapes, depending on the work
Flat fee
Pro hac vice sponsorship and filing. A single filing review. One hearing. You know the number before you commit and it does not change unless you change the scope.
Per appearance
Hearings, depositions, calendar calls, case management conferences. Quoted per appearance, with travel identified separately rather than buried.
Hourly or monthly
Where the work is ongoing and a flat fee would be a guess for both of us. Monthly makes sense once a case has a real motion calendar.
Why there is no price list on this page. A one-attorney admission in an uncontested matter and a three-attorney admission with an emergency hearing in two weeks are not the same job, and pretending otherwise would either overcharge you or leave me quoting a number I would have to walk back. Send the matter and you will have a real number within one business day — before there is an engagement letter and before you owe me anything.
What the courts charge — which is not what I charge
These are published fees. They are yours to pay and I itemize them separately in every quote so nothing about the total is a surprise.

As published by each court and by The Florida Bar, August 2026. Three lawyers appearing in one state case means $750 to the Bar, not $250. The Florida Bar fee does not apply to federal appearances at all.
